Qingdao_week20100326_3 編集者は夏休みを兼ねて、明8月18日から29日まで、中国・青海(チンタオ)で開催される2010 Qingdao International Sailing Week に参加してきます。(既報のVladivostok International Sailing Championshipで一緒した青島ヨット協会の役員からの招聘によるもので、ありがたいことです)

当Weekは、2008年北京オリンピックを記念して、State General Administration of Sportsが主催し、セーリング競技の開催地であった青海オリンピック・センターおよび大連Xinghai Bayをメイン会場とし、8月13日から29日までの17日間、オプティミストおよびKeel Boatの3レガッタを中心に、フォーラム、ダンシング・サマーコンサート、グルメ・フェスティバル等々多々の行事を盛り込んだ『一大国際エベント』です。

残念ながらオプティミストには日本チームの参加は無いようです。Keel Boatには日本および中国在住の日本人チームが2-3艇参加の模様です。
参加者にとって“極めて好条件(特に経済的に)”のレガッタですし、日本からは数時間の近場ということもあり、もっと多くのチームの参加があればと思います。

編集者は下記の2つのKeel boats Regattaに参加する予定です。PRの意味も込めて、現地からNewsを伝えればと思っています(blog用の時間があるかどうか、行って見なければ分かりませんが)。

Notice of Race
Qingtao_21. Rules
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)
1.2 The ISAF Offshore Special Regulations for the Category 5 event will apply.
1.3 No national authority prescriptions will apply.
1.4 If there is a conflict between languages, the English text will take precedence.

3. Eligibility
The regatta is open to entries from the following parties
a) Teams from the friendship cities of Qingdaob) Teams from Olympic Sailing Cities.
c) Teams from well know sailing cities or sailing festivals cities .
d) Teams from domestic coastal cities.
e) Teams from ISAF member national authorities.
4. Entry on website
a) For each team, there could be one team leader, one interpreter or coach and 4-6 sailors entered for the competition.

6. Fees (参加料/200ユーロ・チーム) 
a) Entry fee for each team is 200.00 EUR (including boat charter). (Teams comply with NOR 3 a,b will get a discount of 50%)
b) An equipment deposit of €500.00 EUR should be made by the on-site registration.
c) All the fees should be paid in cash.
7. Schedule
The scheduled is as the following:
August 18th, 2010: 0900-1600 Registration
August 19th, 2010: 0900-1600 Registration, Equipments draw
August 20th, 2010: 0900-1600 Practice Race, Opening Ceremony
August 21st, 2010: 1200 Course Race
August 22nd, 2010: 1200 Course Race
August 23rd, 2010: 1200 Course Race
August 24th, 2010: 1200 Course Race, Prize Giving and Closing Ceremony
August 25th, 2010: 0900-1600 Departure
Up to 11 races are scheduled for the regatta. Not more than three races are scheduled per day.
The first warning signal of each racing day will be at 1200.
From August 20th to 24th, a technical meeting will be held on 0930 each day in the briefing room of the Race Office.

18. Prizes (賞金/1位から10位まで) 
The prizes will be awarded to the top ten boats in the overall series scores.
Prizes will be given as follows in cash
Championship: €5,000.00 EUR
Runner-up: €3,000.00 EUR
Third place: €2,000.00 EUR
Fourth place: €1,000.00 EUR each
Fifth to tenth place: €500.00 EUR each

21. Accommodation (宿泊・食事/8名までフリー) 
The Organizing Committee will provide accommodations and meals for at most 8 people per team from 19th August to 24th August. Hotel rooms will be the double standards.

Notice of Race
Dalianqingtao_21. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) including, and as appropriate:
a) The 2009-2010 ISAF Offshore Special Regulations for the Category 5 event;
b) The IRC Rules, Parts 1, 2 & 3 (IRC-C);
c) The CYA CPN system.
1.1No national authority prescriptions will apply.
1.2 If there is a conflict between languages, the English text will take precedence.
1.3 the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (IRPCAS), will apply between sunset and sunrise and will replace the rules of RRS Part 2

c) Teams from wellknow sailing cities or sailing festivals cities .

4. Class
The regatta will have the following classes:
a) One Design Class: Beneteau First 40
b) Open Class: Keelboats over 36 foot length.
5. Entry on website
5.1 Each team entered for the one design class may enters up to 8 sailors including one experienced skipper and no less than three experienced crews.
5.2 Each team entered for Open class may enters up to 6 crew and the boat owner will supply an experienced skipper and an experienced crew.

7. Fees (参加料/300ユーロ・チーム)

7.1 The entry fee for each boat is €300 EUR (including boat charter). (Teams comply with NOR 3 a or b will get a 50% discount)
7.2 The equipment deposit of €1,000 EUR should be made by the on-site registration.
7.3 All the fees should be paid in cash.
8. Format of Race
The regatta will consist of a offshore race from Dalian to Qingdao that will have a start in the water of Dalian Xinghai Bay International Yacht Club and finish in the water of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, the Organizing Authority may adjust the course according to the weather conditions. And the course races will be in the water of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center and Dalian Xinghai Bay .
9. Schedule
The scheduled is as the following:
August 21st, 2010: 0900-1600 Registration in Qingdao
August 22nd, 2010: 0900-1600 Registration, Equipments Lottery, Check Equipments on Board, and Logistic Preparation
August 23rd, 2010: 0800 Boats Leave for Dalian
August 24th, 2010: 0900-1600 Arrival in Dalian, Registration in Dalian, Skippers’ Briefing
August 25th, 2010: 900 Starting Ceremony, Course Race, and the Offshore Race
August 26th, 2010: All day Offshore Race
August 27th, 2010: All day Expected Finish of the Offshore Race ( Qingdao)
August 28th, 2010: 1200 First Start of the Course Race
August 29th, 2010: Prize Giving Ceremony ,Departure
a) Not more than three races are scheduled on the course racing day.
b) In August 24th a pre-start skippers’ briefing will be held on 1600 in the briefing room of the Race Offices, and in August 28th, a technical meeting will be held on 0930 in the briefing room of the Race Offices.

The Organizing Committee will provide six days’ accommodations and meals for at most 10 people for each One Design class team and 8 people for each Open class team for 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th August in Qingdao and 24th,25th August in Dalian. Hotel rooms will be the double standards room.
